Rahma Grape Harvest
๐ About Our Grapes
The Bay Area Muslim community is blessed with the Rahma Community Center's (RCC) 14 acre vineyard garden in Oakley. The RCC garden offers sweet red grapes - delicious for eating fresh, or perfect for making juice, jam, vinegar, or smoothies.
While the 14 acre vineyard is being developed as a future RCC campus, volunteers are farming the grape vineyards and generating revenue to pay the tax and farming expenses. For many years, the land was leased out and this year, thanks to many volunteers we have farmed over 5,000 grape vines and are selling them directly to the community at large to sustain the center.
๐ฟ Grape Varieties
RCC garden's vines are over 100 years old, dry farmed red grapes in the following varieties: Zinfandel, Carignan and Mataro. They all have seeds, and are very sweet with high water content.
๐ฟ Bismillah - Taste the Blessings. Share the Mission. ๐ฟ

Grape Juice Making Adventure
Rahma Community Center (RCC) invites parents to register for a special weekend activity at the RCC Garden / vineyard. Kids will get the chance to pick grapes straight from the vines and learn how to make fresh grape juice in a simple, hands-on way.
This is a fun and educational experience designed especially for children to connect with new friends, enjoy nature, and see how something as simple as a grape becomes a drink.
Kids of all ages are welcome and must supervise their kids at all times. Parents are responsible for their safety.
Cost
Participation is free. Grapes will also be available for $0.50/lb if families want to take some home. Donations toward the project are always welcome :)
